Aura Business keeps an asset register for every unit you have installed, from acceptance sign-off through warranty, AMC, service calls, transfers and replacement, and turns that register into the list of contracts you should be selling next.

Installed base management software is a register of every unit you have sold and installed, one record per serial number, holding where it is, when it was accepted, what warranty and contract cover it, every service visit since, and any transfer or replacement along the way. In Aura Business this is the Asset and Installed-Base Register in the AMC and Service Contracts suite, and every other suite writes to it: sales adds the unit, service adds the visits, contracts add the cover.
The register matters because it is the AMC pipeline. Every serial whose warranty ends next quarter is a contract to sell; every serial on an expiring AMC is a renewal; every serial with a heavy service history is an upgrade conversation. Without the register those are guesses. With it they are a list with names and dates.
The sale is recorded in the invoice. The installation, the acceptance, the moves between wards and the swap under warranty are recorded nowhere.
The unit was delivered on a challan, installed by an engineer, and accepted by a biomedical officer, and only the challan exists.
Warranty is assumed to be a year from invoice, but the installation was three months later and the claim is refused.
A monitor bought for ICU is now in the emergency ward, and a call from there cannot be matched to the asset.
A unit swapped under warranty starts a new record, and the old one's history and contract are lost.
Nobody can produce the serials whose warranty ends in the next ninety days, so the AMC is sold after the first breakdown.
The serial on the delivery challan creates the asset against the hospital and location.
The engineer's job card records installation; the customer signs acceptance on the app.
Warranty dates set from acceptance; AMC or CMC attached when sold.
Every PM visit and breakdown call lands in the asset's history.
Transfers between wards, branches or customers recorded with dates.
A replacement serial is linked to the original so cover and history carry across.
Workflow: The register lists every serial with warranty ending in the next quarter, grouped by hospital; the rep quotes an AMC for each before expiry.
Result: The contract is sold while the customer still has cover, not after a failure.
Workflow: The biomedical team moves a ventilator to a new ward; the transfer is logged, and the next call from that ward resolves to the same serial and contract.
Result: History and cover stay with the machine, not the room.
Workflow: A unit swapped under warranty is linked to the original; the CMC and the service history continue on the new serial.
Result: The customer's contract is unaffected and the audit trail is whole.
Workflow: The hospital asks for the acceptance date, PM records and calibration history of thirty assets; the register exports them.
Result: An afternoon's work becomes a report.
AMC and CMC revenue built on what was sold in past years.
Installed base by dealer and territory for service and upgrades.
Analysers placed at labs with reagent and service obligations.
Serialised machines under annual cover.
Assets you maintain but did not sell.

When a sales order is delivered, the serial on the delivery challan creates the asset against the customer. The installation job card and the customer's acceptance signature on the app complete the record with the installation date. Existing assets are imported from Excel at setup.
Yes. Warranty dates on the asset can be set from the acceptance date, the invoice date or a date you enter, so the cover shown on a service call matches what the manufacturer will honour. See warranty management software.
One screen per serial showing its customer and location, warranty and contract status, every service visit with spares and signatures, PM and calibration records, transfers and any linked replacement, plus the documents attached to it.
An asset transfer records the new location or customer with a date and reason. The history stays on the serial, and contracts can be kept, ended or reassigned depending on the commercial terms.
Because every serial with expiring warranty or an expiring AMC is a contract to sell or renew. The register lists them by date with the hospital contact, and the AMC revenue and leakage dashboard shows the rupee value at stake. See the guide.
Yes. Assets can be created directly in the register for third-party equipment under your maintenance contracts, with the same history and cover fields as units you sold.
