Plain-language guides to the software your business runs on.

Fourteen guides explaining the terms suppliers use, written for clinic owners, hospital administrators, distributor founders and institute owners in India. No jargon without an explanation and no sales pitch.

What this is

Guides written for buyers, not for engineers

Healthcare and equipment software is sold in acronyms. PACS, DICOM, RIS, HIMS, EMR, TPA, AMC, CMC, SLA, MWL and LMS all turn up in the same quotation, and the supplier rarely stops to explain which of them you are actually buying.

These guides explain each term in ordinary language, with the Indian context that matters: GST on the invoice, TPA claims, ABHA and ABDM, WhatsApp as the channel customers actually read, and the practice around maintenance contracts in equipment trade. They are written by the people who build the software, which is stated plainly so you can weigh it.

Start anywhere. Each guide defines its own terms, links to the others where a concept overlaps, and ends with the product page that solves the problem if you decide software is the answer.

How to use these

Three ways people read this series

  • Before a demonstration. Read the guide covering the product you are being shown, so the conversation happens on your terms and the question list comes with you.
  • When a quotation arrives. Look up the acronyms in it. Quotations often price several distinct things as though they were one, and knowing which is which changes the negotiation.
  • When something is not working. If studies cannot be found, contracts lapse unnoticed or reports sit undelivered, the guide on that workflow usually names the cause before it names a product.

Where two products are commonly confused, the decision is set out on the comparisons pages. Where you want to see what has actually been built rather than described, the case studies cover three real projects: a distributor operations platform, a robotics distributor and e-commerce platform, and a government examination preparation app published on Google Play.

Elevate Aura is a founder-led software studio in Chennai. If a guide leaves a question unanswered, the fastest route is a message on WhatsApp to the person who wrote it.
