For dealers who service what they sell

Preventive maintenance software that puts every installed device on a service calendar.

Aura Business schedules preventive maintenance per asset from the contract terms, sends the technician with a checklist on the mobile app, and closes the visit against the AMC or CMC, so no PM is missed and no covered visit is left unbilled.

What preventive maintenance software does here

Preventive maintenance software creates a recurring visit schedule for every device you have installed, based on the contract you sold with it, and then tracks each visit from dispatch to sign-off. In Aura Business this is one module inside the AMC and Service Contracts suite, not a separate tool.

The schedule can be time-based (quarterly PM on a ventilator) or meter and usage-based where you record readings. Each visit carries a checklist, records calibration where it applies, and lands in the asset's service history. If the visit is covered by an AMC or CMC it closes against the contract; if not, it becomes a service invoice.

Why PM slips

Preventive maintenance is the first thing to fall off a busy service desk.

Breakdown calls shout. Scheduled visits do not. That is how a dealer ends up paying penalties on a contract it is already servicing at a loss.

Schedules in a diary

PM due dates live in a spreadsheet or in the engineer's memory, so the third quarter's visit quietly never happens.

No proof of the visit

The hospital's biomedical department asks for last year's PM records and you have a WhatsApp photo, at best.

Checklists vary by engineer

One engineer checks the battery, another does not. There is no fixed checklist per model.

Calibration dates unknown

Calibration certificates expire without anyone noticing until an audit or an NABH inspection at the customer's end.

Covered visits billed, or not

Nobody is sure whether a visit falls under the CMC or should be invoiced, so revenue leaks either way.

Renewals argued on memory

At renewal time you cannot show the customer how many visits you actually made, so the price gets negotiated down.

In practice

What changes on the service desk.

A quarterly PM does not get missed

Workflow: The contract sets four visits a year; the fourth appears on the desk two weeks before it is due and is assigned to the nearest engineer.

Result: The visit happens on time and the record exists before the customer asks.

A biomedical audit is answered in minutes

Workflow: The hospital asks for PM history on a serial number; the asset's service history is exported with checklists and signatures.

Result: No searching through phones and files.

Calibration is tracked, not remembered

Workflow: Calibration due dates sit on the asset and surface on the desk with the PM visit.

Result: Certificates renewed before they lapse.

The renewal conversation has evidence

Workflow: At term end the contract shows visits made, spares used and response times.

Result: You renew on the record, not on goodwill.

Questions

Preventive maintenance software, answered.

Is preventive maintenance a separate product?

No. It is a module inside the AMC and Service Contracts suite of Aura Business, so it shares the customer master, the installed-base register, the technician app and GST billing with the rest of the platform. See AMC and CMC software.

Can schedules be based on usage rather than dates?

Yes. Time-based schedules are the default, and meter or usage-based PM is supported where your engineers record readings on the job card.

Does it track calibration?

Calibration records and due dates sit on the asset and surface with the PM visit, and inspection reports are stored against the serial number. The calibration itself is still done by your engineer or an external lab.

What does the customer receive after a visit?

A PM report generated from the completed checklist, with photos and the customer signature, which you can share on WhatsApp or email from the platform.

Can a PM visit be billed if the device is out of contract?

Yes. If the asset has no active AMC or CMC the closed job becomes a GST service invoice, with spares used pulled from the job card. See billing software.

How long does setup take?

Aura Business is delivered on a 30-working-day framework where scope allows. Your existing contract list and installed base are imported from Excel, and your branding goes on the app, dashboard and PM reports.
