Aura Business bills the AMC itself. The contract value is split into the instalments you agreed, invoices are raised on their due dates with GST, part periods and renewals are handled, and work outside cover becomes a separate service invoice.

AMC billing software invoices the contract, not the visit. You agree a contract value and a term, the software splits that value into the instalments you sell on (annual, half-yearly, quarterly or monthly), and raises a GST tax invoice on each due date against the customer and the assets the contract covers.
That is a different job from service billing. A visit made under an active AMC or CMC produces no invoice, because it is already paid for. A visit outside the cover, or a part not included in the contract, produces a service invoice of its own. Aura Business keeps both in the same GST-native billing suite, so the contract instalment, the out-of-cover service invoice and the spares on it all reach your accountant together.
Product sales invoice themselves because goods have to move. A contract instalment has nothing physical attached to it, so nobody notices when it is not raised.
A quarterly AMC is invoiced once at signing and then forgotten until the customer asks why they have not been billed.
A contract that starts in the middle of a period is either overbilled or written down, because nobody works out the part period.
The cover lapsed in March, the engineer went in April, and no service invoice was raised because nobody checked.
Two more monitors go under an existing contract during the year and the contract value on the invoice never changes.
The renewal is raised by copying last year's invoice, so the escalation you agreed is quietly dropped.
The accountant cannot tell which invoice paid for which contract period, and disputes take days to settle.
AMC or CMC recorded with value, term, covered assets and billing frequency.
The contract value splits into dated instalments for the whole term.
A mid-period start is billed pro rata for the first instalment only.
GST tax invoice on the due date, with the contract period printed on it.

Jobs on uncovered assets or excluded spares become separate service invoices.
The renewal engine opens the next term at the revised value, not the old one.
Workflow: A one-year CMC on four analysers is billed in four instalments; each one appears on the billing desk on its due date with the period already printed.
Result: Four invoices go out instead of one, without anybody remembering.
Workflow: Cover begins in the middle of a quarter, so the first instalment is pro rata and the rest run full.
Result: No goodwill discount given by accident.
Workflow: An engineer attends a device that is not on the contract; the closed job card becomes a service invoice with labour and spares.
Result: The visit is paid for rather than absorbed.
Workflow: At term end the renewal opens with the revised contract value and the asset list as it stands today.
Result: The escalation and the added devices both reach the invoice.

The documents are separate but the system is not. Contract instalments, product invoices and service invoices are all GST tax invoices raised inside the same billing suite, so receivables, reminders and the accounting export cover all three together.
Yes. The billing frequency is a property of the contract, so the same cover can be sold annually to one hospital and quarterly or monthly to another, and each generates its own instalment schedule.
The instalment is invoiced with HSN or SAC and the tax split decided by place of supply, the same way a goods invoice is. The rate that applies to your contracts should be confirmed with your accountant.
The asset is added to the contract and the remaining instalments reflect the revised value. Whether the addition is charged pro rata from that date is your commercial decision, and the invoice follows it.
No. A job closed against an active contract is recorded in the service history and closes to the contract. Only jobs on assets outside cover, or excluded spares, become a service invoice. See service management software.
The contract shows what was invoiced, what was collected, how many visits were made and what spares were consumed, so the renewal conversation is held on the record. See service contract management.
