A field service app gives each technician the day's calls, a job card that works offline, GPS check-in, photo and signature proof and the spares they used, then syncs everything to the service desk. We build it standalone or on the Aura Business field module.
Field service mobile app development produces the app a technician opens at the start of the day: assigned calls in order, the customer and asset for each, a job card to complete on site, GPS check-in on arrival, photos of the fault and the fix, the spares consumed, and the customer's signature. All of it is captured offline and synced when a connection returns.
Elevate Aura builds these apps in React Native or Flutter. Where the business runs Aura Business, the app is the mobile side of the Field Service suite, so dispatch, job cards, spares, service history per asset and AMC or CMC contracts are already on the server. Where you have another service desk, the app connects to its API.
The technician tracking app page describes the Aura Business version; this page covers the custom build.
The office knows a call was assigned. Everything after that lives in the technician's head and phone gallery.
The customer says the engineer came at four; the engineer says two. Without GPS check-in there is nothing to show.
Paper cards are completed in the evening from memory, so readings and remarks are approximate.
A part is fitted from the van and never recorded, so stock is wrong and the customer is not billed.
Before and after photos exist on the engineer's phone and leave with the engineer.
A cloud form that will not open in a plant room or a hospital basement is abandoned on the first day.
A photo of a signed paper is the only evidence the job was accepted.
The desk assigns the call; it appears on the technician's list with route order.
GPS and timestamp on arrival at the site.
Checklist, readings, fault found, work done, photos before and after.
Parts used scanned or picked from the van stock; stock is reduced.
Customer signs on the screen; job-done status set.
Everything uploads when the phone has signal; the desk closes the call against the contract or invoices it.
Workflow: The engineer arrives, checks in, reads the asset's history in the app, replaces a board from the van, photographs the repair and gets the biomedical engineer's signature.
Result: The call closes under the CMC and the board leaves stock the same minute.
Workflow: No signal underground. The checklist and readings are completed offline across six machines and sync in the car park.
Result: The service desk sees six completed PMs before the engineer reaches the next site.
Workflow: The customer disputes that an engineer attended. The desk pulls the GPS check-in, photos and signature from the job.
Result: The dispute ends with evidence, not argument.

Yes. The technician downloads the day's calls, completes job cards, photos, spares and signatures offline, and the app syncs when signal returns. Conflicts, such as a call reassigned while offline, are resolved on the server.
No. The app can be built to connect to your existing service desk through its API. If you have no service desk, Aura Business provides dispatch, job cards, spares, contracts and billing on the office side. See service management software.
On arrival the technician taps check in; the app records location and time against the call. Route and schedule views show the office where each technician is expected next. Location is captured at check-in and check-out, not tracked continuously unless you ask for it.
Yes. Spares picked or scanned on the job card are deducted from van or warehouse stock and appear on the service invoice if the visit is not covered by a contract.
Yes. Checklists are defined per equipment model, including calibration readings where relevant, so every engineer completes the same steps on the same machine.
Live in 30 working days where scope allows. The Carna Medicare field-staff app, part of a 12-module platform, shipped in 30 days on React Native and Supabase.
Tell us the workflow it has to support. We will scope the app, the backend it talks to and the timeline.
