Elevate Aura writes the Wi-Fi layer for connected products: how the device is provisioned onto a network it has never seen, how it behaves when that network goes away, how it syncs with the cloud, and how the companion app pairs with it in the first place.
Wi-Fi connected device software is the part of the firmware that gets a product onto a network it has never seen, keeps it there, and carries its data to the cloud. Elevate Aura writes that layer to your hardware spec, together with the companion app screens that walk the owner through the first connection.
Most of the work is in the unglamorous half. Credentials have to be captured and stored without being typed on a device with no keyboard. The radio has to come back after a router reboot, a moved access point or an hour with no internet, without a person power cycling anything. Readings taken while offline have to reach the cloud once the link returns, in order and without duplicates.
We write the provisioning flow, the connection and retry logic, the buffering and sync, and the pairing path in the app. The module, antenna, board and enclosure are your hardware team's work. This is a software-only engagement, and we say so before scoping.
Connectivity complaints are rarely about the radio. They are about what the software does in the five minutes after the radio fails.
The first connection needs a hotspot, an app screen and clear failure messages, not a manual with an IP address in it.
The device retries in a tight loop, drains the battery or hammers the router, and never backs off.
Nothing is buffered, so an outage becomes a hole in the record that no one can explain later.
Network details are stored in plain flash and no one has thought about how the device is handed to a new owner.
Module, controller, and where the product lives: home, clinic, ward or plant.
Hotspot or BLE assisted onboarding, with app screens and clear errors.
Retry with backoff, roaming, credential storage and reset to factory.
Local buffering, ordered upload and de-duplication on the cloud side.
Router reboots, weak signal and outages exercised on your boards.
Source, build instructions and a support runbook your team keeps.
Workflow: The app finds the device over its own hotspot, sends the network credentials and confirms the link before the screen moves on.
Result: Setup finishes without a support call.
Workflow: The device tolerates a nightly router restart, reconnects on its own and uploads what it buffered in between.
Result: The record has no gaps and nobody visits the site.
Workflow: A defined reset clears stored credentials and identity, and the device returns to its onboarding state.
Result: Resale or redeployment without a trip back to the factory.
Devices on clinic and home networks.
Kit that must sit on a managed network.
Machines reporting from the floor.
Benchtop units sending results onward.
A first connected product to ship.
Connectivity software without a hire.
Usually the device raises its own temporary hotspot and the companion app hands over the network credentials, or the app sends them over BLE. We build whichever fits your hardware, including the app screens, the confirmation step and readable failure messages.
The device keeps working locally, buffers readings in its own storage and retries the link with a backoff so it does not drain power or flood the router. When the link returns the buffered data uploads in order and duplicates are rejected on the cloud side.
Yes. The app is built in React Native for Android and iOS on the same engagement, so pairing, status and control are written to match the firmware. See device companion app development.
No. Elevate Aura is software-only. The module, antenna, board layout, certification of the radio and the enclosure are all your hardware team's decisions. We write and test the software on the hardware you provide.
Yes, and it should be. Once a product is on customer networks, an update path is how you fix a connectivity bug without a site visit. See OTA firmware update development.
Home Wi-Fi, a hospital network or a factory VLAN all behave differently. Tell us the module, the controller and where the product will live, and we will scope the connectivity layer and the app side with it.
