AuraPACS is a hybrid PACS built for centres where power and connectivity cannot be assumed. The on-premise node receives, stores and serves studies on your own network; the cloud layer adds remote reading and encrypted backup when the line is up. Reports go to referrers on WhatsApp. Deployment is remote, with your IT guided from Chennai.
AuraPACS is a hybrid PACS designed on the assumption that the power will fail and the internet will be slow. An on-premise node on your own network receives DICOM from your modalities, stores the archive and serves a browser viewer, none of which needs a connection. A cloud layer adds remote reading, secure WhatsApp links and an encrypted offsite copy whenever the line is available.
Elevate Aura, the Chennai studio that builds it, works with Nigerian centres remotely. Your IT person installs the node with guidance over WhatsApp and screen share, support continues on WhatsApp in English, and there is a working-hours overlap between Nigeria and India. There is no Nigerian office or partner, and this page does not claim one.
The product was shaped by Indian centres with generators, inverters and shared fibre. Those constraints are familiar in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and beyond.
The node is a single Windows machine on your network. When power drops and returns, the node restarts and the modalities resend or re-queue their studies; nothing already stored is lost. Keeping the node and the scanner on the same protected supply is the centre's own arrangement, and a worthwhile one.
Receiving, viewing and reporting run entirely on the local network, so a slow or absent uplink does not stop the day. The browser viewer serves studies from the node in the building rather than streaming them from abroad. The cloud sync runs in the background and catches up when the line improves. Remote readers open synced studies in a browser, which suits modest bandwidth better than downloading whole studies to a workstation. See hybrid PACS for what runs where.
Referring doctors and patients are on WhatsApp. AuraPACS generates a secure link per study that opens the images and the signed report in a phone browser with no login, sent from the centre's system rather than a personal phone, and every view is audited.
Your IT person installs the node, sets a static IP, opens the DICOM port and enters the node's address and AE title on each CT, MR, X-ray or ultrasound. Each step is guided remotely and a test send from each modality confirms it works. The details are on the DICOM server software page.
Nigeria has its own data-protection and health-record rules. Studies stay on the node at your centre, the offsite copy is encrypted, each role sees only what it should and every view is audited. Check your own data-residency and health-record obligations with your advisers before you deploy. Billing in AuraPACS is built for Indian GST; for a Nigerian centre invoicing is configurable and confirmed on a call.
Workflow: Power cycles during the day; the node restarts each time and the CT resends. Reading continues on the local network.
Result: No reporting backlog caused by the supply.
Workflow: Studies sync overnight when the line is quieter; the radiologist reads in a browser the next morning.
Result: Daily reporting without a radiologist on site.
Workflow: The signed report and images go out as a WhatsApp link the moment the radiologist finishes.
Result: No patient carrying film back to the referring physician.
Workflow: The live demo runs in a browser and the 200 KB Windows demo installer runs against sample studies.
Result: A decision made on the working product, not a brochure.
No. Elevate Aura is a founder-led studio in Chennai, India. Nigerian centres are served remotely: your IT installs the node with guidance, and support is on WhatsApp in English.
Yes. Receiving studies, the worklist, viewing and reporting run on the on-premise node over the local network without internet. The cloud sync, remote reading and WhatsApp links use the connection when it is available and catch up afterwards.
The node restarts when power returns and the modalities resend or re-queue their studies. Nothing already stored is lost. Protecting the node and scanner with an inverter or generator is the centre's own arrangement.
The remote reader opens synced studies in a browser rather than downloading whole studies to a workstation. Reading speed still depends on the line at the reader's end. See remote reading software.
On the on-premise node in your centre by default, with an encrypted offsite copy through the cloud layer. Confirm your data-residency and health-record obligations with your advisers and raise them on the scoping call.
AuraPACS stores, displays and shares imaging; the read is by your radiologist. Regulatory classification of imaging software differs by country, so confirm the position in Nigeria with your advisers.
