Is AuraPACS fully cloud or on-premise?

It is hybrid. An on-premise node keeps imaging fast and available on your local network, even without internet, while a thin cloud layer adds remote viewing and encrypted backup.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Your scanners and staff keep working against the on-premise node over the local network. When the connection returns, the cloud layer syncs for remote access and backup.

Where are the images stored?

On your premises by default, with an encrypted backup copy in the cloud. Your data stays yours and is reachable from anywhere you allow.

Can we read across multiple sites?

Yes. The cloud layer lets authorised users read studies from other branches or from home, which suits teleradiology and multi-site groups. See the browser viewer.

Do we need a big server room?

No. The on-premise node is lightweight, and the heavy backup and remote access sit in the cloud. It is all part of AuraPACS.
